It’s cold outside – let’s eat soup and sit by a fire!

fire timeThis summer we jarred millions of tomatoes. Not quite millions, but definitely many. We have been using them for the base of lots of hot fall soups. This last batch went like this:


  • Frozen or canned tomatoes
  • 1 PBR
  • A dash of white wine
  • Garlic, onions and butter
  • Celery
  • Bay leaf
  • Potatoes
  • Rosemary, thyme, oregano
  • Salt and Pepper
  • Hot Pepper
  • Sausage
  • Any green – bok choy, kale, chard
