We’d like to order this weather for mid-January when all the baby pigs arrive, but otherwise we’ll refrain comment since the weather right now is just so crazy.
The tunnel is booming and all shades of bright green. The chickens received their winter vitamin c and d dewormer slurry of molasses, olive oil, garlic, and cayenne pepper. They ate the mess out of it, as the old timers say. Bacon, holiday ham, duck, more lamb and more goat will be available as we get a little closer to the holiday.
This week at the Carrboro Farmers’ Market we have pork, beef, goat, and delicious greens, turnips and radishes. We’ll have a number of duck eggs and maybe an extra chicken dozen or two. See you at the market!
