We spoke too soon in the newsletter last week. Though we said all the babies had been born, Little Honey (pig) and Persimmon (goat) had theirs during the snowstorm. Both had snug shelter and we were happy to all be home to enjoy their births. Persimmon’s kids were a little premature and one has become a house bottle baby. The pigs really enjoyed eating the snow. The dogs had a great time sledding with us down the steep driveway.
It’s unseasonably warm today and spring sounds mighty nice even looking at the fun snow pictures below.
Market tomorrow is going to be beautiful. We hope you’ll come out and see us. We will have chicken eggs (duck eggs were snagged early this week), goat, pork, some lamb, and ground beef.
