This week we’ll have a lot of lamb and goat. We’re out of the goat chops but there will more next week. We’ve got new prosciutto and lots of pork. We can take more ossabox orders. Let us know if you’d like for us to bring one. We have beautiful bone-in loins from the Ossabaw Island Hog – perfect for your holiday meal. It’s the best and easiest cut to prepare ($10/lb, 4-8 pounds each). There are one or two holiday hams left so let us know if you’d like us to reserve them.
In the vegetable department we’ve got beets, carrots, turnips, and lettuce.
The Carrboro Market is closed Dec 27th, but we will be available Friday the 26th and possibly the morning of Dec 27th if there is interest for New Years orders. Also, Left Bank Butchery will be open Saturday the 27th and Monday- Wednesday the 29th-31st. Please contact us or the butcher shop with orders.
We’ve disced and prepared several long beds at the new land. We’ll plant onions and garlic where the cul de sac was planned. The new garden is wedged between the market hog pen and the dream hill and will make for a lovely view from our future deck.
We’ve secured a swing in a big poplar just to the right of our new driveway. The swing makes your stomach drop just slightly and gives a beautiful view of the pasture and windrow.
The picture of the Chinese lantern is from last night when we celebrated Enid and Quinn’s 14th birthday. We let go of the lanterns from the dream hill on the new land.
