As always, we will be at the Carrboro Market tomorrow standing in the outfield. We’ll bring duck, lamb, goat and most of our pork products for your wintery meal needs. There will be eggs and carrots and a few beets and turnips. Left Bank Butchery in Saxapahaw is introducing some great new products and it is our huge hope and desire to be bringing them to you via the butcher trailer at the farmers’ market by month’s end. Until then, stay warm and please come see us at both Carrboro and Saxapahaw.
We took the week of New Years off to go see family in Philadelphia. We visited the Philadelphia Zoo and the Mummers Parade, rang in the New Year, and ate black eyed peas. It was a wonderful start to the new year.
The animals are doing well given the crazy arctic nights. Sometimes the frozen ground provides a bit of insulation and a break from the mud.
